Home, and back in the classroom

Jackson back at the rink

After eight months at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Jackson came home to Minnesota.

One of the first places he went was a rink. He drove down to Blaine with his coach to see his old teammates, players who had been following his story all year. It was the first time he had been near a sheet of ice since January. He said it felt amazing.

The schedule now looks like this: therapy at Courage Kenny in Golden Valley two or three times a week, three hours in the car each way, and in October he goes back to class at Alexandria High with the class he started with.

A year ago he was a thousand miles from home in Idaho chasing a scholarship. He is home now, and he is still chasing something.
